How can—and how should—a prominent urban site evolve as the requirements of its existing uses change?

Together with TOPOS and i-Ostate, we developed an urban design concept for the future of the rbb site at Theodor-Heuss-Platz. Several scenarios were assessed in terms of functionality, economic viability and compliance with planning and building regulations, then refined in consultation with the borough administration, the Berlin State Monuments Authority and the relevant Senate Department.

The result: a robust urban design framework for a mixed-use, publicly accessible urban environment—balancing heritage conservation, urban design and economic viability.
