Within its heterogeneous neighborhood, the new police station mediates between commercial and residential buildings in terms of scale and volume. The main building faces south, towards the train station and the historic city center. To the north, three annex buildings enclose the alarm yard. The use of sustainable, CO2-optimized construction methods and materials is evident both inside and out. At the same time, it is clear that contemporary construction and reference to local traditions are not incompatible. The police present themselves to citizens openly and at eye level; they offer their employees modern and attractive workplaces.
