At the foot of Petersberg in Erfurt, the future and history, the old and the young meet in a new quarter. Previously existing and new buildings form an ensemble. Compact and well proportioned multiple generation houses are grouped around a chapel on a wide green, overlooking the historic city centre.

A second space between the urban villas and the walls of the citadel leads to the Community House, which consists of two listed monuments and a new connecting building. To be able to persist in the vicinity of the impressive ramparts, the new buildings have a simple and strong presence. With their solid materiality they integrate the historic fragments and create an intimate setting.
