For its headquarters, software company Lian Lian required up-to-date offices in a representative setting. In order to maintain full flexibility, half of the total floor area was to be rented to other firms.
A „piazza“, shielded away from the street by a pergola and framed by an arcade, welcomes guests and staff and gives access to all entrances. Three high-rises flanking the adjacent canal enhance visibility from the expressway. Oriented in the opposite direction, three lower slabs give rhythm to the street by which the complex is accessed.
The project aims at public and semi-public spaces with urban character. The reduced building depth and the curtain wall facade allow for a maximum of natural lighting and a minimum of solar gains.
