Client: ÖBB, Vienna

In cooperation with Prof. W. A. Noebel, Berlin
Collaborators: Philipp Heckhausen, Nils Rostek, Bela Schwier

The Headquarters of the Austrian State Railways faces the south entrance of the new Central Station of Vienna and defines a new public square.
The tower is rhythmically structured by setbacks and turns its main facade towards the station. The main entrance of the highrise building is located here. The triangular form makes the massive building look slender.

Several floors high atria provide spaces for communication. At the same time they serve als thermal buffers for the adjacent offices. The office floors are characterized by flexibility and communication. The high-tech company ÖBB is represented by a sculptural and precisely worked facade made of tombac, a brass alloy.
