The Orleanshöfe are being built on a former railway site opposite the Werksviertel based on a master plan by Teleinternetcafé and Treibhaus. Not far from the Ostbahnhof, Block 1 is the first building in the southwest of the area.

On the upper floors flexible office space is provided. The ground floor contains larger and smaller commercial and catering units; it also integrates the access to an underground supply axis. This internal traffic spine provides access to the parking spaces arranged in two basement levels, as well as the delivery and disposal areas. In the future it will also connect the construction phases yet to be realized.

The offices open up to an intensively green courtyard with floor-to-ceiling windows and wraparound balconies. The courtyard will also be used by the tenants of the neighbouring apartment block in the future. On the 4th floor there is a large roof garden, which also offers partially shaded recreation areas under solar pergolas.

The characteristic folding of the facade reduces noise pollution for residents by scattering the noise generated by traffic. At the same time, it creates references to the sculpturally structured facades of the Wilhelminian-style houses opposite.
